i like to dabbel in electronics and i made a radar calibration tool to calibrate radar units. something goofed up in it and i noticed that when on a certain speed it would max out the system. once while i was out in my truck waiting for my wife to finish her never ending shopping sprees i stated playing around with this unit to maybe see what i goofed up.i had it set on 65mph and i noticed a city police officer coming through the parking lot so i turned on my unit while watching this police car.......all of a sudden the officers head begun to swing all over as though he was excited and looking for someone/thing. apparently my unit maxed out his radar and was looking for someone.something doing 299.00mph i also did this once i knew what happened to a officer that was driving down a 4 lane road. he was all over his car looking around for someone speeding! that was enough for me, i had my fun!

Sounds like fun! My wife is a county cop and I would love to have one of those things, lol
You might just have invented an effective radar jammer...

When I was a youngun back in the mid 80's my grandpa had a tuning fork that had "35mph" stamped on it. He told me that was how they calibrated them. He had mounted it to the dash of his truck, and everytime he saw a cop he would reach up and ping it with a screwdriver. I always wondered if he was full of it. He was a heck of a prankster though.

well this device is used for claibration of radar guns. yes tuning forks are used for in the feild. these have various names for them Charlie!!!!!!!! radar jammers are illegal in most states but radar calibration tools arent!!!!!!! get the point. this was the second one i made. the first one got stolen but it wont do them any good with out my radar detector.this device uses the current of my detector to sense a dip in current to activate this device to transmitt! it was calibrated to MY detector. it was a kit form and not sold anymore. it was also sold as parts and you had to buy several packages to be able to assemble it. i modified this one like the other and when i changed the resistance of the 65MPH mode, it went bonkers to max out any radar gun! yep its fun to play with.....i also mounted it in my truck with VELCRO so i could "displace it" in time of need!

The only problem is that the old radar guns are being replaced by Laser Guns that the tuning forks and jammers won't affect!!!
