Hey all,
I have a pretty nice le trap highbanker that i made. In Indiana most of the gold is flour to course with the seldom big picker or nugget. I've been thinking about putting ribbed rubber matting at the top of the le trap where all the 1/4 or smaller material falls through on it. Would doing this help or would i be wasting the rubber matting? Well if any could put there 2 cents in please do.
Thanks
RyanBruce

The LaTrap is known for it's fine gold recovery I'd leave it alone and run it into a panning tub and check your tailings to see what if anything you are losing then make the mods accordingly heck if it ain't broke don't duct tape it. I do have a 2" nozzle and hose for sale add this to your banker and you'd be in the dredging business let me know.
gold is where you find it and never where you dont GENESIS 2:10-12 http://www.modulepages.com/swohioprospectors

leave it as it is! i use my LeTrap as a cleanup tool. i set it up and use a autofeeder to supply my cons. it is used as a recirculating system and i use 2 750 GPH 12v. bilge pumps. works fine for me on super fine gold!no matting, carpet,or anything added!
