Stolen Dredge
Reply Quote
I don't post much here, but do enjoy the reading. I want to pass along that my Keene 4" dredge was stolen off my claim on the Middle Fork of the Boise river, in Idaho on the night of August 10.
I don't imagine the low lives that took it, read these forums, but by chance they do..."May that dredge bring you nothing but sorrow"...enjoy.

Old Goat,

It angers me to hear about your dredge getting stolen, I HATE A THIEF!!!

I will be wishing that whoever took it will never find another piece of gold,

I hoping that it wasn't a "real" prospector, but they are still LOW LIFES!!

What a shady act. I hope it pins them against a rock somewhere and the law has to rescue them. Then the law notices it is stolen and puts them away. We can dream can't we.

To One and All:  Once a point in time our dredge was stolen by a couple of miscreants.  We were on the Sacramento River near the American River; that was a few years back.  Anyway, we caught up with them and promptly disrobed them, hung them by the ankles in the trees over the water and went our merry way.  Oh, yeah, it was quite buggy at the time.  Of course, we forgot to notify anybody that there were a pair of bodies in rather impromptu straits.  Oh well, we heard that  they were eventually found a day or two later.  Like to have seen their tormented hides.  More fun...........Smelter

Rebel1003:

Nah, this one was dreamed up by a couple of oldtimers around Front St and "H" in Sacramento.  They put odds 'n' ends together and it worked quite well.  Didn't get much, but the whole experience was wild.  Smelter

If it was made up from odds and ends it should be pretty recognizable. Get us as detailed description as you can. I betcha they didn't take it to use. Sell it for dope money probably. Any pictures of it around anywhere?

Terry:   I think you got my little story mixed up with Old Goat and his stolen dredge.  I was just sticking in my two cents worth about our dredge being stolen.  Well, that was a whole bunch of years ago and the drug scene wasn't quite that hip back rhen.  Smelter
