russm, It looks good, I have never used one or saw one work... It seems to be a little overpriced, as I have saw about the same thing at lower prices...

Russm,
I've been trying for over 2 MONTHS to lay my peepers on one in Agnus' Factory over here in Boise...nadda to show me.
No explanations, just more promises that they will call me when they
have one for me to come see. The silence is deafening...
I would report back if I ever could see the thing, but if they ain't
makin' 'em, I don't understand why they are advertising them!
I will point out one fact, tho'....it is apparently a cyanide based
leach system...Cyanide leaching systems are the only ones best known for needing the
addition of supplemental air in order to achieve quicker
leaching results. The first photo/close-up is of the aerator pump and its
little hose, which is nothing more than an aquarium pump by the looks
of it.
Caveat: if miners think buying nitric is not easy, have miners
considered the difficulty in acquiring sodium or potassium cyanide for
use in this unit?

Hmmmm...well maybe they are in the final phases of "quality control" before release (yes I am an optimist).....
Thanks for the replies...I will be patient for a while longer.................

What's the matter Dixie, don't you like my leechin' plant? I got gold grubbin lizards, 'n snakes. why not leeches for a real good clean up. Why they just suck up all the microscopic gold, I drop em in a little bowl of beer and they git drunk first, then they get sick and puke up all the gold. They are ready to go again once the hangover is gone.
Unless they're real big ones Tommy, 'Takes 'bout a dozen leeches per pound of black sand. I'm gonna git Dixie a picture of my gold grubbin lizard.
Aha, here it is, I found it. http://forum.goldgrubbin.com/forum/photos/members_other_pictures/picture32402.aspx

I saw one of those lizards sniffing around my sluice the other day. I was going to hit it with my shovel but I thought of you and just chased it away. I hope you weren't too hard on him for not bringing back his quota of gold.

It is not a cyanide based system but does use Nitric acid. I went and bought the book that come with the plant. Figured it a cheap purchase before actually deciding whether to get the plant.
(With that said there could be separate instructions for cyanide that come with the plant)

Ghoti, With all the interest in this system would it be possible to share a little more about it? Thanks...

Here is a summary from the manual. Don't think I can get any more specific without violating some copyright laws. My conclusion is it is far more complicated than I originally thought.
“Simple” process
Separate magnetic from non magnetic material
Pre grind your ore to 100 – 200 mesh
Remove the irons and base metals and sulfides
Roast your ore 250 -350 degrees for 4 hours to remove sulfides
Remove silver lead
3 stage process for extracting and precipitating gold from the ore
Leach can be reused 7 -8 times and safely disposed of.
Process from start to finish including prepping ore 3 days or more
Process can only leach metal less than 100 mesh
Still need to smelt the precipitate which requires oxy/acetylene torch and vessels
Need to buy test kits to indicate gold ispresent in ore if present repeat leaching process till test says no gold present in ore
Materials used are indicated as being readily available, Nitric acid, iodine, salt
It’s weird that there is a air pump on it and no mention in the manual for it’s use so it would be reasonable to assume that the plant is set up for cyanide processing as well

Ghoti, Thanks, that helps some... Are you close to Gadsden, Alabama? I would like to learn more, but we don't want to get into the copyright laws... Again thanks for sharing even that much...

Did finally see a reference to the aerator (bubbler) in the manual. It is there to agitate the leach and ore material which speeds the reaction.

Thanks Ghoti for all the info... I really appreciate it
So in addition to this plant I would need a tumbler and some steel balls, a method to heat the cons for four hours and how do you get rid of "silver lead?" Not to mention obtain nitric acid...iodine and salt are pretty easy to get unless it is a certain type and then I have to get an acetylene torch and test kits on top of all of that?
Obviously you see I am quite ignorant when it comes to this stuff :) However, I do need to learn cuz we are stockpiling a lot of cons that have been screened and run through a blue bowl. I got a 10X pocket magnifier and looked at the cons and, Holy Tiny Batman, I do believe I see gold still attached to those tiny specks :) Thus the need to learn how to unlock those really, really tiny pieces without killing ourselves LOL - hey it all adds up and it gives us something to do in the winter :)

Here is one thing to consider when pondering the attributes of this leaching station..
Working with acids, whether nitric, sulfuric, hydrochloric, etc., you are dealing with off-gassing some nasty fumes.
Please re-examine this unit and tell me where the "fume" management dealie is on this Chem-Gold unit?
I've worked with gold and acids (and bases) for many years now, and I
have NEVER needed nor required an oxygen adding bubbler in said acid
treatment protocols.
I could continue, but I don't want to overwhelm anyone with my
experience. It's a great world out there, and everyone is
entitled to learn at their own pace, and in their own style.
Experimentation is a style. The learning curve is both steep and
costly going the experimentation station route, but it's a freedom to
chose issue we all dearly defend.
