We got our mxt on Fri but couldn't take it out till today. There is not a lot of places to go around here so we figured we would go to our church and hunt near the creek. It has only been built for about 8 years but lots of kids play there. I hunted first with the mxt and found some foil and a couple of nails. Then gave it to Cordie to hunt with and was using my bounty hunter. It was like going from a cadillac to a vw bug.
Anyway Cordie found a funny hot rock and I went to the creek to wash it off for him. I didn't realize how slippery the bank was and you guessed it. Slid right down the bank on my butt and splash right in the creek, At least it was in the 70,s today. So that ended our trip. we got a plastic bag out of the church for me to sit on since the pt cruiser has leather seats and home we went.
What I found out is that i really like the mxt. I think Cordie does too. Now we just need a place to hunt. And I will stay clear of the creek.

I bet Cordie thought that was a real funny rock after watching you slide into the creek. Or did you throw it at him because it was his fault you got wet? LOL
Ya'll will have lots of fun with the MXT!!!!!

Shellyrat: Your First mxt trip

Shellyrat,
Congrats on your MXT!! I now have two....
Love them for coins & jewelry shooting. Have found about $75 in coins (500 min), a 14Kt ring, a silver ring and a silver necklass, and a 1700s British half penny.
Plus LOTS of junk, but the MXT is pretty good on coins. Really eroded coins at the beach can show as foil, screwcap and/or a nickel/5 cents, so dig all you can...
I have great fun with my MXT. My 2 kids like it too.
I suggest a trip to the local public elementary school play grounds on the weekends. I hit one here in RI that had almost nothing but quarters.......maybe lunch money?? Had to go back two days...got over $30 in quarters! My MXT was 99% accurate on quarters....
