01-29-2008, 2:26 PM TXKajun Joined on 03-07-2006 Carlsbad, NM Posts 112 Finally Found A Gold Ring After over 2 years of detecting with my Ace 250, I finally stumbled across my first gold ring on Sunday. A buddy and I were hunting school playgrounds and doing pretty good coin-wise. Then we started finding a ring here and a ring there. Total was about $8 in coins and 5 rings. He found a sweet little silver/turquoise ring and I snagged a little kid's 10k gold ring with a little CZ stone. I found a .925 silver ring quite a while back and have been waiting and working towards the gold. Now, if I can just get out and swing my Eureka Gold beeper over a nugget or 3!! Kajun P.S. 01-30-2008, 2:18 PM TXKajun Joined on 03-07-2006 Carlsbad, NM Posts 112 Re: Finally Found A Gold Ring Thanks, ya'll.  First of anything is kinda "special" I think.  So even though this is a really smally kid's ring, it still got me all aquiver.    I've found quite a few rings since I started, but it seems like they come in "herds".  My detecting buddy and I will go out for weeks and find coins, junk, buttons, more junk but no rings.  Then, wham!  We'll find 3-5 all at once.  *shrug*  Dunno why, maybe they're just social things??  Anywho, thanks for the nice comments.  I ain't been posting for a while cuz nothing worth posting til now.  Bout all the excitement was taking my found clad and turning it into silver at the last gun show.
