Hi, Herschel.
You ask "What do [we] do with "spent black sands?"
Simple. I prepare them for pyrometallurgical gold refining, the only "Holy Grail"
method for getting all the gold out of anything, after mechanical
separation and gravimetric separation techniques have been applied.
While the Goldman Engineering Wasilla Alaska is a wonderful and
productive, video effecient example of mechanical separation to return
more money in a "split arrangement" with Alaskan miners using their
services, they still haven't the gold that is trapped in the
blacksands, just free-milling gold still hiding AMONG blacksands.
Remember they are using a Stedmnn hammermill [ore reducer]---a free
milling, mechanical reduction device---prior to introducing the reduction to their
sluices and Welfley cons table. I would have been helpful if they
stated how fine they were grinding.

Thanks for finding that video and sharing it, Herschel!!! I hope
it gives some guys and gals on here a profitable home business idea,
doing what they love and making a living by helping others such as
dredgers.
It's
easy to see why the Alaskan miners would work with that nice,
trustworthy couple. It is easy to see such a mechanical
processing arrangement would make it
very viable for them to keep individual miners' concentrates separate
for
payment purposes. Very creative solution.
Pyro-metallurgical gold harvesting is what I show others how to do in the with 4 pre-mix pyrometallurgical fluxes that is available in my BlackSands Gold Fluxes Sampler at a only for Gold Grubbers discount in Brian's Store here on his website.
I would LOVE to get a representative sample from Wasilla folks, fire
them and report the gold that is STILL entrapped in those cons, finer
than they are grinding.
That would be very satisfying to report to the both Goldman Engineering
team and their miners' customers, the results of the pyrometallurgical
refining results for a split as well.

Indeed, Herschel. Indeed.
Too bad the US Bureau of Land Management's has a different view of mining for Alaska, than it does the lower 48!
You'd think we were a different country all together down here just
observing the way the BLM behaves differently in the 2 geographical
locations!
God Bless Alaskan Miners, and the businesses they enhance by their very
existence in the Alaska economy! At least one of the 50 states
"gets it!!!"

I'm working on something similar myself. I guess the only diffrence will be I'll fire the suer-super cons rather than running them thru a shaker table.
