That's why I don't metal detect at the beach..... it's bad enough to have to wear white socks and head phones..... but now we have to add blinders too!!!! Be my luck I'd trip over some big ugly dude while I was watching his wife half nekid on the beach!!!! I'd end up wearing my detector like a supository.
No wonder you only see old men metal detecting on the beach.... They are the only ones with enough D.O.M. experience get away with it!!!!! Those of us who are still in D.O.M. training can't hold it together long enough to pull off the "detecting among half nekid ladies scam".
I've been doin' so much, with with so little, for so long.... I can do almost anything, with nothing!!!!

First off, let me say "Don't let the avatar fool you". I don't doubt that someday I'll look like that , though.
I've watched that video in the past, and know a few guys that have scored big on thier finds.
On a good weekend, I've scored several grams of gold. This recent storm that's passing off shore now, will strip the beach of the deposited sand and reveal the drops of the past season.
Often times you'll find coins and rings that'll collect like gold in a pan, due to the wave action and the sand washing in and out, but this time of year, the scenery is bleak and Dixie, you'll be safe.
I've had the cataract operation and got my new glasses. C'mon spring break!!!
I can now determine cleavage at untold distances.
Yeah, there's been times my batteries have gone dead and I just kept swingin' that coil, enjoyin' the scenery.
D. O. M. still in training.
