Garrett GTI 2500

Does anyone have any Ideas of what a Garrett GTI 2500 with 2 coils 12.5" and a 9.5" would be worth used not beat to death just slightly used have a friend looking at one but don't want him to get taken any help would be appreciated very much thanks

flourchild, Bobg is the resident detectorist, he would know better than anyone... Detectorist... How's that for a new word!!! lol.... They sell for around $1,100.00 new, used, whatever the market is willing to pay, maybe half of new price?

Man they are going for more than I expected  I've been all over the web and cheapest I've seen new w/coils was $925. so I guess the guy was not trying to take him, thanks for the help think I would be looking into used minelabs at that price but thats me, my first detector was a garrett master hunter 7 ads we sold it to take a trip to the klammath to check out the New49ers club in the 80's I think it was well worth the trade

flourchild, A friend of mine has one and the only problem he has had is the ears breaking off of the battery packs... Tell him to check that...

appreciate that I'll let him know he was going to do a  2" highbanker/combo + some cash for the trade I was thinking he may be going a little too much the combo and 5.5hp pump is worth the trade alone in my opinion without the cash but that was before I seen what they were going for but like you said thats new price half that would make the trade about even without the cash don't think it will matter though talked to my buddy about it a day or so ago and he really wants that detector bad so I think it's a done deal thanks again for your help
